Upon advice from Black Visions Collective who have already raised a good amount of donations and are now pushing towards funding the broader movement, lifting up other incredible organisations, which are doing powerful work, we have split the money raised for donations equally between the following organisations:

African Career, Education, and Resource (ACER) – A nonprofit organization that engages African immigrants living in the north and northwest suburbs of Minneapolis.
The Birth Revolution – Black and Trand led education and training for birth workers, centering BIPOC and queer experience, rooted in anti-racism and decolonization.
Women for Political Change (WFPC) – Holistically invests in the leadership and political power of young women and trans & nonbinary individuals throughout Minnesota.
Young Peoples Action Coalition – Intersectional high school and middle school student led group that organizes to improve Minneapolis Public Schools and build community and power around such campaigns as getting cops out of schools.

Black Visions Collective is a black LGBTQ+ led charity dedicated to developing Minnesota’s “emerging Black leadership to lead powerful campaigns”. Black Visions Collective is commited to a long term vision in which ALL Black lives not only matter, but are able to thrive. What we know to be true in order to create this world is that oppressed people, especially Black people, need to build collective power in order to create systems transformation.

Through the development of powerful strategic campaigns, Black Visions Collective seeks to expand the power of Black people across the Twin Cities metro area and Minnesota. This can look like delivering mobilization and action goals as part of a national coalition in which Black lives are centered, but it most often looks like visioning and leading targeted collaborative local campaigns that advance a concrete impact for people’s lives here, while also advancing a shift in public narrative that connects to transformative long-term change.
